Goals

This advisory assignment supports Associação de Jovens da Soalpo (JOSSOAL) to address oppression and gender inequality and to improve the living conditions of women, girls and children. The Advisor strengthens institutional capacity to secure more predictable funding and partnerships so the organisation can sustain its mandate and make decisions consistent with its ethical principles. The role develops a resource mobilisation strategy and supports the establishment of new partnerships with institutional donors, private companies and foundations. It improves donor management by organising contracts, applications and reporting, maintaining reliable data back-up for partnerships, and monitoring calls and new fundraising opportunities. Internal processes for selecting projects in line with the organisation’s principles are strengthened so fundraising priorities remain coherent. The Advisor also supports teams to prepare budgets and narrative reports that match donor requirements and internal accountability needs. To diversify income, the assignment develops, implements and monitors fundraising campaigns and approaches for longer-term donations and supports donor retention strategies that strengthen trust and continuity. It uses monitoring and evaluation skills to track the performance of resource mobilisation measures and translate findings into practical recommendations. Institutional learning on sustainable financing is promoted by documenting good practices, training teams and embedding routines for partnership communication.
