Strengthening the diocese's personnel development strategically and operationally.

Directly involved are 176 people (86 female and 90 male), indirectly involved 707 people (277 female and 430 male).

Gillian Woltron has worked in the social sector for many years. Her training includes psychology, human resources development, trauma therapy, NPO management and international development.

• The advisory assignment focuses on strengthening human resources management at the Diocese of Lodwar to enhance organizational effectiveness and staff well-being. Conducted in cooperation with the Archdiocese of Vienna, the assignment ensures that HR policies, procedures, and capacity-building efforts align with national labor laws and international standards. The initiative directly involves 176 individuals (86 female, 90 male) and indirectly benefits 707 people (277 female, 430 male).
• The advisor supports the development and revision of HR policies, including health and safety regulations, performance management frameworks, and staff safeguarding procedures. Training workshops and orientation sessions equip supervisors and employees with skills in performance evaluation, risk assessment, and compliance with labor laws. A key focus is on improving staff well-being and engagement while strengthening internal communication processes.
• Key achievements include the establishment of an HR subcommittee to guide policy revisions, the introduction of a structured organizational capacity assessment action plan, and the facilitation of annual appraisal sessions across diocesan facilities. The assignment also contributes to improved knowledge management, strategic planning, and enhanced staff development processes, ensuring long-term institutional sustainability.
