This advisory deployment strengthens clinic administration at the Mother, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) Speciality Centre in Bushulo, Ethiopia, building on the Bushulo Health Centre that provides medical care to rural communities around Awassa for more than 44 years. As the first non-profit specialist centre for women and children in southern Ethiopia, it serves a catchment in a region with a population of 17 million. The Advisor focuses on strengthening administrative performance across documentation, finance, information management, human resources, corporate governance, logistics, procurement and inventory. The assignment identifies improvement potentials, reviews management and control systems for efficiency and effectiveness, and supports the management team to develop and coordinate an implementation plan that improves service quality. It also supports the definition and rollout of a code of conduct, patient care standards, and health and safety measures to make processes reliable, compliant and auditable.To secure continuity and sustainability, the Advisor supports annual budget preparation, strengthens planning and monitoring routines, and contributes to a strategy for financial sustainability that matches the hospital’s service scope. The role provides administrative support to the Board and senior management team and leads a needs assessment and logframe development with the programme officer, in cooperation with Caritas and horizont3000.
