This advisory deployment supports Fundação LevasFlor (FLF) in Sofala, located in the Miombo forest biome. It addresses tensions between the organisation and surrounding farming communities by strengthening socio-environmental development through agroecology, stronger cooperatives and community associations, and income generation through ecologically sustainable initiatives. The Advisor provides technical support on agriculture and helps FLF work with communities through relationships based on greater respect and trust, while also advancing gender equity and labour rights in how the company and foundation engage with workers and communities. The assignment reaches a direct target group of 217 people (64 female, 153 male) and an indirect target group of 4,534 people. It delivers trainings on agroecological practices, including agroforestry systems and water management, and supports cooperatives in processing and market-oriented organisation so community livelihoods improve without undermining the forest landscape. The Advisor also supports solutions for better waste management, strengthens organisational development, and helps expand a safeguarding culture that protects teams, communities, women and children.A dedicated component supports the Clube das Raparigas (CdR) in Maciambosa, working with girls who are children of FLF workers as well as girls from the local area. The Advisor supports educators through trainings and joint activities with children, strengthens the integration of gender and health themes in educational work, and encourages structured consultation with communities when FLF designs and implements projects. The assignment also includes therapeutic activities that provide emotional support for beneficiaries and employees, and it supports worker participation in psychosocial risk assessments to strengthen resilience and well-being.
