Details

  • The advisory assignment strengthens the external communication and visibility of Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (SAT), a non-profit organisation committed to promoting organic and sustainable agriculture among smallholder farmers. While SAT has traditionally focused on internal communication, this assignment targets its external communication capacity to support outreach, stakeholder engagement, and donor relations. The technical advisor works closely with SAT's communication team to develop a comprehensive communication strategy and to build capacities in content creation, storytelling, digital marketing, and public relations.
  • Key elements of the assignment include supporting the production of tailored communication materials, strengthening the organisation’s digital presence, and fostering relationships with farmer cooperatives, networks, and development partners. The advisor also provides targeted coaching to improve documentation practices and enhance the quality and impact of SAT's communication outputs. Initial activities focus on gaining an in-depth understanding of SAT’s operations, projects, and team dynamics. This includes field visits, participation in events such as the SAT farmers conference, and contributions to SAT’s blog and newsletters to reach donors and supporters. Ultimately, the advisory strengthens SAT’s communication systems, enabling the organisation to enhance its visibility, secure long-term support, and amplify the voice of smallholder farmers in public discourse.
  • SDG targets: 12.8; 13.3; 17.16
