The facility is located in the northern part of Turkana County and was established by the church as what was once an outstation. It serves a predominantly pastoralist community of 6,000 people. For years, accessing health services was a luxury, as patients often trekked over 50 kilometres for days with no public transport to the nearest facility. The presence of this health center has greatly eased that hardship, bringing essential care such as immunisation, maternity, and outpatient services closer to those who need it most.
