St. Theresa Primary School Otumpili Solar Installation


St. Theresa Primary School Otumpili, with 387 pupils, is located in a remote region. Access to reliable electricity is limited, as there are no nearby grid lines. Through the interventions, the school will have a stronger boarding section, improved lighting and security, and the capacity to admit more pupils.

  • 340 students (150 boys and 190 girls)

What is done

  • Installation of 2 new Photovoltaic AC/DC systems [AC1.05KW and DC 350kw]
  • Operation & Maintenance training for staff, incl. safety & PV array cleaning
  • The systems support boarding facilities and the teaching block

When

  • New installation was completed in December 2025
  • Training on O/M done in February 2026
