PV installation in Omiya Anyima Lopur Primary School


Omiya Anyima Lopur Primary School, the largest in the current SPEA program with 1,110 students, is located in a region affected by cattle raiding. Access to reliable lighting through the new installation and battery replacement supports evening studies and enhances safety—especially for girls.

What is done

  • Installation of 2 new Photovoltaic AC/DC systems [600 W each]
  • Replacement of a battery in an existing solar system [200Ah, 400W]
  • Operation & Maintenance training for staff, incl. safety & PV array cleaning
  • The systems will support boarding facilities and the teaching block

When

  • Installation, replacement and training is planned for August 2025

The school's deputy headmaster explains
