Goal

Supporting FOWODE, Women Rights Initiative and Smart Transitions in strengthening their resource mobilisation performance. The assignment builds proposal writing and donor communication skills, supports institutional donor engagement including EU and bilateral calls, and helps each partner diversify beyond its current donor base through corporate and private sector fundraising.

Participants

Two partner organisations across Uganda (Kampala and Jinja), with staff receiving direct training in resource mobilisation concepts and tools over the assignment.

Advisor

Hirani Nehl is a capacity building specialist with over nine years of experience across East Africa, training NGO staff and government partners on digital and AI tools for project planning, monitoring, and content creation. She brings the same skills-transfer approach to resource mobilisation, having supported fundraising, proposal review, and donor communication for international organisations across Uganda, Ethiopia, and Mozambique. She's driven by helping local organisations build the systems and skills to sustain themselves long after a project ends.

Partner Organisation - FOWODE

FOWODE is a nonpartisan feminist organisation that was born in 1995. She is a passionate advocate and an active proponent of social justice that works to create a sustainable, grounded, conscious and organized movement for women centered transformative change.
