Providing technical support to the EPN Secretariat and its partners in developing and strengthening individual, organizational and institutional capacities. In particular, in knowledge management, research and M&E to strengthen systems in member countries in a sustainable way. The advisor is working within the 2021-2025 strategic plan.
Directly involved are 11 people (6 female and 5 male), indirectly involved 150 people (75 female and 75 male).
Rebekka Oelze holds a Chemical Engineering degree and is passionate about quality management. After her studies, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry and laboratory field. She supported the setting up of a Laboratory school in Vietnam, strengthened quality management structures in faith-based health facilities in Kenya and assisted the wastewater department in a technical College in Vietnam.
The advisor supports the Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network’s (EPN) capacities in knowledge management, research, and monitoring & evaluation (M&E) to enhance organizational effectiveness and evidence-based decision-making. The assignment aligns with EPN’s 2021-2025 strategic plan and supports improved communication, data collection, and research dissemination. It directly involves 11 individuals (6 female, 5 male) and indirectly benefits approximately 150 people (75 female, 75 male).The advisor enhances EPN’s communication strategies by developing and sharing key publications, including annual reports, organizational brochures, and digital content for members and partners. The assignment strengthens the organization’s engagement with faith-based health institutions and global stakeholders through webinars, publications, and donor presentations.A key focus is improving EPN’s research and M&E capacity, enabling evidence-based impact assessments of network members and faith-based health institutions. The advisor supports project baseline studies, member needs assessments, and data-driven evaluations of healthcare initiatives. Additionally, the assignment facilitates research on antimicrobial resistance, non-communicable diseases, and pharmaceutical systems, contributing to knowledge sharing and policy advocacy.Through these efforts, the advisory assignment strengthens EPN’s role as a leading network in faith-based healthcare, ensuring effective knowledge management, data-driven decision-making, and improved healthcare services.##sdgtargets## 3.8;9.5;17.6
EPN is a Christian non-profit organisation comprising of members of healthcare providers and professionals. The majority of its members are Faith-Based Organisations that provide healthcare to communities in the most marginalized and remote areas where national government health services are limited.
